Dermal Filler

Dermal Filler

Faces change with time as the natural fat and collagen that once kept them full gradually thin out. Cheeks flatten, lips lose their border, and folds deepen around the mouth. Dermal filler answers that quietly, placing a smooth hyaluronic acid gel beneath the skin to cushion hollows and bring back gentle contour where volume has slipped away.

Because the product follows the architecture of your own face, the effect reads as balance rather than addition. Your Nurse Practitioner injects with a light hand and an artist's eye, shaping lips, cheeks, under-eye hollows, and the jawline so each area sits in proportion with the rest.

Not every filler is hyaluronic acid. Radiesse is built from calcium-based microspheres, the same mineral your bones and teeth are made of, suspended in a soft gel. It lifts the moment it goes in, and that is only half of what it does.

The other half takes time. The gel carrier clears over the following months while the microspheres nudge your own fibroblasts into laying down fresh collagen, starting around four weeks and continuing for a year or more. That makes Radiesse a strong choice where a face needs structure rather than softness: the jawline, the chin, and the folds running from nose to mouth.

Which one you get depends on what your face actually needs, and for plenty of people the answer is both. Either way the look is you at your most rested, never overdone.

Questions About Dermal Filler

What can filler treat?

Quite a lot. It replaces age-related volume loss, plumps thin lips, raises flat cheeks, fills under-eye hollows, blurs deep folds, and can even improve certain acne scars.

When will I see results, and how long do they last?

You will see a difference right away, with the final look settling over two to three weeks. Results carry six to eighteen months depending on the product, and Radiesse sits at the longer end because collagen keeps building.

Does it hurt, and how long does it take?

Most people describe only a light sting. A typical session runs thirty minutes to an hour, plus about thirty more if we apply numbing cream first.

Can I combine it with other treatments?

Yes. Filler pairs comfortably with Tox, PRP, and select chemical peels in the same visit, which makes it easy to address several goals at once.

How should I prepare and recover?

Skip blood thinners and alcohol in the days beforehand, then leave the area alone for two weeks afterward, avoiding heat, hard workouts, and pressure while any swelling settles.

Is filler reversible?

Hyaluronic acid filler is. It dissolves with an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which gives you a safety net if you ever want to adjust the result. Radiesse cannot be undone that way, so we place it conservatively and let it break down on its own.
